Baby R's mom has been following us for a long time and she has always loved the tree branch photos we have done for others. As the Christmas season for sending cards is wrapping up, I thought I would post some of the cards that we designed and photographed for! And yes we did do the studio work for the sock monkeys as well. They were a blast to work with!
I am a little behind on my posting and my new year's resolution, a little early, is to ramp up the posting of our work on our social media site. We had a wonderful time at this wedding and there were so many cool touches that T and J put together themselves. Definitely consider some of these for your own wedding if you are connected to them. I hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed taking them.
It has been a busy year here at The Mirrored Image Photography. With Christmas coming it is busier than ever! Over the summer I was lucky enough to do some maternity photos for Baby S's mother, E. I was so happy when I got the phone call that S was born and there were newborn photos to be taken. Pictures like these make great Christmas Cards, which we could design too or newborn announcements. I was thrilled with these, I hope you like them too! Babies are so great and Baby S is such a sweetie!
Christmas Photos and Christmas Photo Cards are well under way now..I finally sat down to design my own and I thought I would share so that you can see some of the things we have been designing for people! Lucy loved playing with the lights and we made sure they didn't get put in her mouth. Overall it was a fun and east photo shoot because the christmas lights kept her happy!

...and here is one of the other photos that I loved from that shoot. Dave's grandmother knit the sweater and hat before she passed away, what I nice way to keep that memory forever...to put it up in the house or on a card.
So I liked the cake smash collage so much, I figured why not try it out for baby photos! I am so happy with the way it turned out for little Lucy. She is the most stunning subject ever. Of course I would say that because I am her mother, but I think you will agree that she is a beautiful baby!
So this is something fun I seem to be doing more of lately and I just love it! You know how you give one year old their own little cake on their birthday and totally let them go to town on it! What about doing it as a photo opportunity. I have photographed baby "C" several times over the last year and he is so much fun! Take a look at what we came up with! It was so funny, because at first he was very tentative, he kept wondering why we were giving him the cake. As you can see he loved playing with it! Lucky for his parents, he liked playing with cake way more than eating it!
Usually January is a time for hibernation, but the weather has been so good this year people are still out and about. We are doing mostly studio work right now, due to the chill in the air and we are exited about some of the projects we have done and some of the ones we have coming up. Take a look at some of the head shots we have done lately and look forward to some of our cute babies coming later this month!

Just Eight Days old and what an impression! Hunter is so easy going and was so much fun to work with. Here are some of the great images we took!
I have to admit that I don't watch a lot of TV. I had not seen Devon perform until after we took his head shots, but he was utterly amazing! We were so excited to have the opportunity to work with Devon on these pictures. He is the nicest, most laid back guy and very photogenic. We hope you enjoy seeing a glimpse of Devon's photo shoot as much as we liked working with him. If you want to see more of Devon, he is competing tomorrow night (Tuesday) on The Voice which airs on NBC at 9/8 pm. We had so much fun working with K and J on their engagement photos! It was a gray dreary day, just after the numerous days of rain we had. I crossed my fingers the whole time that we would not be rained out. With wedding season upon us it would be hard to find a new date in the next few weeks. We were so lucky that the sun made an appearance and this is what we ended up with! Enjoy!
